Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival

We will greet you upon your arrival and arrange for your transfer to a Houseboat. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a sightseeing adventure to the Mughal Gardens, starting with Nishat Bagh, known as the 'Abode of Pleasure,' a creation of Asif Khan, Jehangir's brother-in-law, in 1632 AD. Next, you'll visit Shalimar Bagh, named the 'Abode of Love,' built by Jehangir for his beloved wife, Empress Noor Jehan. These magnificent gardens grace the shores of Dal Lake, framed by the majestic Zabarwan Mountains. The journey from Srinagar to these gardens covers approximately 12 to 15 kilometers. On the way, we'll also visit a carpet-weaving factory. The afternoon allows for free time, offering opportunities for shopping and more. Dinner and an overnight stay await you at the Houseboat or Hotel.

Embark on a complete day's journey to Sonamarg, often referred to as the 'Golden Meadow,' using a Tata Sumo. The distance of approximately 83 kilometers will be traversed in about 2 and a half hours. Sonamarg is nestled in the Sindh Valley, adorned with a profusion of flowers and encircled by towering mountains. It serves as a starting point for captivating treks to the elevated Himalayan Lakes. Revel in horseback riding up to Thajwas glacier and enjoy the thrill of sledge riding on the snow. As late afternoon approaches, we'll begin our return drive to Srinagar, where dinner and an overnight stay at the Deluxe Houseboats await you.

Embark on a full-day excursion to Gulmarg, known as the 'Meadow of Flowers,' situated at an altitude of 2730 meters above sea level. Covering a distance of 60 kilometers, the journey will take approximately 2 hours. Gulmarg is renowned for hosting one of the world's finest ski slopes and the world's highest golf course featuring 18 holes. If weather permits, you can catch a glimpse of the majestic Nanga Parbat Mountain. The scenic route from Tangmarg to Gulmarg offers a captivating view. Additionally, a short trek to Khilangmarg, lasting about 3 hours, is an option. Delight in sledge riding on the snow and make use of the chair lifts for a mountain ride. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the Deluxe Houseboats.

After your morning meal, set out for Pahalgam, often referred to as the 'Valley of Shepherds.' The journey spans approximately 96 kilometers and will take around 3 hours to complete. Along the way, you'll have the chance to visit saffron fields and explore the historic Awantipura ruins, a 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built by King Awantiwareman. As you traverse, you'll be treated to picturesque views of the countryside, passing by numerous rice fields. Driving through the enchanting pine forest, you'll eventually arrive in Pahalgam, where you'll check in to your designated hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy leisurely horseback rides and capture the breathtaking mountain vistas with your camera. Optionally, you can explore the Kashmir Valley, Baisaran, and Dabyan on a pony, or visit Chandanwari or Aru using a hired local vehicle. Conclude the day with dinner and a restful overnight stay at the hotel.

Following breakfast, journey to Srinagar and check in at Deluxe Houseboats. In the late afternoon, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, exploring the floating gardens and vegetable gardens. Additionally, witness demonstrations of walnut woodcarving and papier-mâché making. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the Deluxe Houseboats.
