Morning Exploration of Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh (Place of Joy) constructed by Asif Khan, the brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) commissioned by Jehangir for Empress Noor Jehan. These gardens grace the banks of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains as a picturesque backdrop. Along the way, a visit to a carpet-weaving factory is planned. Depart from Gulmarg after a morning meal and proceed to Pahalgam, known as the 'Valley of Shepherds,' via Srinagar. Enroute, traverse saffron fields and explore the ancient Awantipura ruins, a 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built by King Awantiwareman. Drive through scenic pine forests along the Lidder River. The entire journey covers a distance of approximately 140 kilometers and will take around 4 hours. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. A short detour from the Srinagar road, about 13 kilometers from Yusmarg, will take you to Charari-Sharief, the Shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-din, a revered figure in Kashmir. Sunset Peak and Mahadiv Mountain are notable attractions in this area. Yusmarg Valley is renowned for its breathtaking spring flowers, adding to its natural beauty.
