Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival

Upon arrival, we will greet you and transfer you to Deluxe Houseboats. In the afternoon, there will be a tour of the Mughal Gardens, including a visit to Nishat Bagh (known as the Abode of Pleasure), constructed by Asif Khan, the brother-in-law of Jehangir, in 1632 AD. We will also explore Shalimar Bagh (known as the Abode of Love), built by Jehangir in 1632 AD for his beloved wife Empress Noor Jehan. These stunning gardens are located on the shores of Dal Lake, with the majestic Zabarwan Mountains providing a breathtaking backdrop. The distance from Srinagar to each of these gardens is approximately 12 and 15 kilometers, respectively. Along the way, we will also visit a carpet-weaving factory. Your overnight stay will be at the Houseboat/Hotel

Embark on a day-long trip to Sonamarg, often referred to as the 'Golden Meadow,' traveling by Tatasomo. The approximately 83-kilometer journey will take approximately 2 and a half hours. Sonamarg is nestled in the picturesque Sindh Valley, adorned with a vibrant display of flowers and embraced by towering mountains. Additionally, Sonamarg serves as a starting point for captivating treks to the elevated Himalayan Lakes. Take pleasure in horseback riding up to Thajwas glacier and engaging in sledge riding on the snow. As the afternoon transitions to evening, return to Srinagar by drive. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Following breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg, known as the 'Meadow of Flowers,' situated at an elevation of 2730 meters above sea level. The 60-kilometer journey will take approximately 2 hours. Gulmarg boasts some of the world's finest ski slopes and hosts the highest golf course globally, featuring 18 holes. Weather permitting, you can also catch a glimpse of the majestic Nanga Parbat Peak. The journey from Tangmarg to Gulmarg offers captivating scenic views. For those seeking adventure, a brief trek to Khilangmarg, lasting about 3 to 4 hours, is an option. Additionally, chair lifts and a Gondola cable car are available for mountain rides. Spend the night at the hotel.

Depart from Gulmarg after an early morning meal and journey to Pahalgam, often called the 'Valley of Shepherds.' Traverse saffron fields, explore the ancient Awantipura ruins (a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu dating back 1100 years, built by King Awantiwareman). Drive amidst the pine forest alongside the Lidder River. The entire journey spans approximately 140 kilometers and will take around 4 hours. Upon reaching Pahalgam, settle into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Enjoy the day for personal leisure and exploration. You have the option to visit Chandanwari or Aru either by pony or vehicle at your own convenience. Rest for the night at the hotel.

Following breakfast, embark on a journey to Srinagar. The approximately 96-kilometer drive will take about 3 hours. Along the way, visit saffron fields and the ancient Awantipura ruins (a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built 1100 years ago by King Awantiwareman). Enjoy the picturesque countryside during the drive. Upon reaching Srinagar, transfer to a houseboat. In the late afternoon, delight in a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, exploring floating and vegetable gardens. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to witness demonstrations of walnut woodcarving and papier-mâché making. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 7 :
Departure

Following breakfast, proceed to Srinagar Airport for your flight.
