Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival

Arrival Greeting and Transfer to Houseboat/Hotel. Leisure Time in the Afternoon. Overnight Stay at Houseboat/Hotel.

Morning Exploration of Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh (Place of Joy) constructed by Asif Khan, the brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) commissioned by Jehangir for Empress Noor Jehan. These gardens grace the banks of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains as a picturesque backdrop. Along the way, a visit to a carpet-weaving factory is planned. Post-lunch, embark on a city tour, passing by Akbar Fort, Jama Masjid, Shah-e-Hamdan Shrine, and Badshah Tomb. Drive through the quaint narrow lanes of the old city to observe the local way of life. Retire for the night at a Houseboat/Hotel.

Day-long Trip to Sonamarg (Golden Meadow) by Tata Sumo, inclusive of packed lunch from Houseboat/Hotel. The approximately 83-kilometer journey takes about 2-½ hours. Sonamarg is nestled in the Sindh Valley, adorned with a profusion of flowers and embraced by majestic mountains. Serving as a starting point for fascinating treks to the high-altitude Himalayan Lakes, Sonamarg offers opportunities for horse riding up to Thajwas glacier and exciting sledge riding on snow. In the late afternoon, return to Srinagar, where dinner and an overnight stay await you at the Houseboat/Hotel.

Journey to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) at an altitude of 2730 meters above sea level. Covering a distance of 60 kilometers, the trip takes approximately 2 hours. Gulmarg is renowned for possessing world-class ski slopes and boasting the highest golf course globally, featuring 18 holes. Weather permitting, you can catch a glimpse of the majestic Nanga Parbat. The scenic journey from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is captivating. An option to embark on a brief trek to Khilangmarg is also available, lasting about 3 to 4 hours. Additionally, mountain enthusiasts can opt for a chairlift ride. Proceed to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy lunch and dinner, and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 5 :
In Gulmarg

Leisure time for personal activities. Lunch, Dinner, and Overnight stay at the hotel

Depart from Gulmarg after a morning meal and proceed to Pahalgam, known as the 'Valley of Shepherds,' via Srinagar. Enroute, traverse saffron fields and explore the ancient Awantipura ruins, a 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built by King Awantiwareman. Drive through scenic pine forests along the Lidder River. The entire journey covers a distance of approximately 140 kilometers and will take around 4 hours. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy leisurely horseback rides and capture the stunning mountain views. Lunch, Dinner, and an overnight stay await you at the hotel.

In the morning, you have the option to explore the picturesque landscapes of Pahalgam, often referred to as the 'Switzerland of Kashmir,' including the valleys of Baisaran and Dabyan, either on foot or by pony. In the afternoon, you can further venture to Chandanwari or Aru, either on ponies or by your own vehicle. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Return to Srinagar by road and check in at the Houseboat/Hotel. In the afternoon, delight in a Shikara ride on the renowned Dal Lake, where you can visit floating markets and vegetable gardens. Conclude the day with dinner and spend the night at the Houseboat/Hotel.

After enjoying breakfast, embark on a 47-kilometer drive to Yusmarg, which will take approximately 2 hours. This journey leads you to vast expanses of lush meadows surrounded by pine forests, with towering snow-capped mountains in the backdrop, creating a truly awe-inspiring view. Yusmarg offers the perfect setting for a picnic, and various types of walks are available here - from a gentle stroll through flower-filled meadows to a trek alongside the roaring Dudh Ganga River. Not far off is the captivating Nilnag lake, cradled by hills, along with several nearby peaks like Tatta Kutti and Sang Safed. A short detour from the Srinagar road, about 13 kilometers from Yusmarg, will take you to Charari-Sharief, the Shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-din, a revered figure in Kashmir. Sunset Peak and Mahadiv Mountain are notable attractions in this area. Yusmarg Valley is renowned for its breathtaking spring flowers, adding to its natural beauty. Later, return to Srinagar and have dinner and spend the night at the Houseboat/Hotel.

Day 10 :
Departure
